I thought I should get to know Jean-Paul's family since we're sort of related in some strange interdimensional way.

I'm a (mostly) open book. The only things I tend to avoid are alleged crimes without a formal charge attached.

What's a favorite job you've worked?

ah, that's an easy one! when I was the flier in Herr Max Getmann's Traveling Circus. though that was not so much a job as something I had to do no matter if I was allowed or not!

for you: where were you before you were here?

I was in a place called Duplicity. Before that I'd been in France.

You said the flier. Does that mean you were the only one?

oh nein. there were others. my mentor, Sabu. and my foster sister Jimaine.

you seem to be adapting well to being here and you didn't seem surprised to be around someone like me. can I assume you have some experience with things which aren't so mundane?

Did they all enjoy it as much as you did? What was your favorite act of daring?

Also, yes, that's safe to assume. I currently live with a time-traveling telekinetic with biomechanic parts and a grumpy (but generous) disposition.

if his name is Cable then ja, I do. well, a version of him, if he isn't the one I know. I didn't realise he was here

We came here together. We have an arrangement that works for us. Mostly that I feed him and he steps in front of all the bullets that might come my way.

does Jean-Paul know who you're living with?

A few things, but not a lot that I'd want to share without asking him first.

How well did you know him?

not as well as Logan does. I know his daughter a little. [ After he sacrificed himself to save her life, #justxmenthings. ] and his parents are some of my closest friends

Somehow I'm not surprised. What can you tell me about his parents?

they're good people. some of the best. I've known them for a long time.

though they're also not precisely his parents. there's some time and inter-dimensional travel involved

He acts like he's not a good person but he is. I knew he had to get that from somewhere.

And here I thought my life was complicated...
