[ It just so happens that Neal is thoughtful enough that he drops off a gift on Kurt's birthday on his way to the college. It's not a lot — Neal is living on thin means beyond one aspect — however, at least it's something.

In a tastefully wrapped gift box in navy with red accents in a diamond pattern Kurt will find an incredibly long scarf. It's at least twice the length of a regular scarf, if not more. It's patterned in attractive fall-like colors and made of a soft material that feels like a natural fiber but is probably synthetic.

Inside is a short note in Neal's handwriting:

Clothes are the most available means at the moment, but he's hoping to change that soon. ]
